Week 13 : Popping up like Daisy's

Hola!!

This week was pretty normal.  It was, however, much better than last week.  We just recently had a change in how missionary work will be done.  Elder Nelson (of the 70) has directed us to focus on less active members and now we will be teaching lesson 5 before baptism where before it was after.  The Lord really is hastening his work. This week we have seen evidence of it as well.  We have found new less active members everywhere and have had good success thus far with working with them.  It really is a miracle.  One less active lady is the mom of an awesome young man who is preparing to serve a mission in Honduras.  We talked with her about temples and family history work and the spirit was so strong.  She came to church yesterday and really enjoyed it.  I think now that her son is leaving on a mission, she will become more active in the church.  There are so many others that we have found too, its crazy!  They are popping up like daisys, as my comp would say.  The more people I meet as see how we can help them, the more love I feel for them.  God loves them so much and really is preparing them to receive our message.

I gave my first talk in chuch yesterday.  I found out saturday night that I was giving one... Woohoo!  Luckily I had a few 2 minute talks from the CCM that I just whipped out and fixed up.  I was nervous, but it went really well.

My comp is the best.  She is so crazy and awesome and I love her.  Here are some quotes that describe her perfectly:

Me-"Open your mouth and it shall be filled"
Hma Francis-"Yeah, it's like you just open your mouth and there's a twinky in it *ka-bow*"

"I feel like we are basically mermaids.  Yup, we're mermaids.  We are under air right now."

"I'ts like an Easter egg hunt, but they're people."

"♪ I've got two big yogurt guns...♫"

"The field is white already to harvest... or it's black, because the people are black."

Well, I guess that's all for this week.  The church is true.  I know it more and more everyday.  Love you all sooooo much!!!

Love, Hermana Perry
